Tangled Wedding

The Tangled Wedding post is finally here! I found some pictures online and I tried to incorporate some of my ideas too. Enjoy ! :)
The dress is from Alfred Angelo's collection. It is inspired by Disney's Rapuzel herself. A nice braided hair with flowers would look nice for this wedding. It'll be like the movie :D or just any flower pieces on the hair would look nice for this theme.

I researched this and someone has already came up with a Tangled theme wedding. I think it looks so cute and beautiful. I love the purple, pink, and peach color scheme.
Here is another one I found. I really love that ballroom in the collage. It's so breathtakingly stunning even though I imagined the wedding to be outdoor. It is like a garden wedding, but indoors.
These little pieces on the tables would look cute. I really like the tiny bush, it reminds me of the movie. In Tangled, Rapunzel is always in the forest and there are bushes and trees everywhere, so the bush brings back memories from the movie. The little flower in the silver pot is a nice touch too. :D
I think these flowers would look good for this Tangled theme wedding because it does not look too picture perfect. Tangled mostly took place outdoors and the movie is full with all kind of nature scenery. The flowers doesn't look too stiff and the shape of the flower gives it a nice looking texture. Besides, the lavender/purple is like Rapunzel's dress.

Just another collage of pictures. I really like this purple candle idea because it is very romantic. I also think that lavender tie is just adorable. The groom would look very dashing in that tie.
I think this is like the perfect bouquet for this theme. It has lavender and white flowers with a hint of little green plants or flowers. I think it helps resemble nature, which goes well with the Tangled theme.
An outdoor wedding should have one of these flower trees down the isle.
A Tangle themed wedding in my opinion should be near by some sort of water like this, so maybe the bride and groom can be in a rowboat and watch the floating lanterns just like what Rapunzel and Flynn Rider (Eugene) did in the movie.
Not only should this wedding should have little lanterns everywhere, but they should have flower lanterns!

The little branched tree with candles hovering over the reception table is also a good idea also. It just adds that fairytale flair.
At the end of the wedding, I think the guest should do this lantern ceremony just like the people of the kingdom did for the lost princess in the movie. The bride and groom can be in a rowboat watch all of the floating lanterns gleam. :)

Apology

I am so sorry, I said I was going to post a "tangled" wedding post D: I haven't had the time. I'll get on it when I find the time. It's really a cute wedding idea and I want to show you all! Be on the lookout though!

Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries' Divorce

In journalism, my assignment is to connect my blog with a current event. My blog is about weddings and I am sure everyone has heard about the Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries divorce after 72 days due to irreconcilable differences.  Celebrity socialite Kardashian and NBA player Humphries of the New Jersey Nets, began to date in October 2010 and engaged in May 2011. The former newlyweds married on August 2011 in the city of Montecito, California with a fairytale black and white wedding that is estimated to be about $10 million dollars.
Rumor has it that Kardashian and Humphries profited about 18 million dollar, however I am not for sure.  “There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation,” according to Kardashian in her blog.
It makes me sad to know that a married couple is getting divorce and that goes for anyone out there.  Divorce is very difficult, but it could be for the better. I feel bad for the two former newlyweds because their divorce has been all over the media. The media won’t leave them alone; therefore they can’t keep this divorce on the down-low.
Honestly, 72 days? :O It is so hard to keep up with this Kardashian.  She obviously won wedding of the year, just look at the pictures! It’s pretty disappointing to see it all go to waste.  This goes to show that money cannot buy happiness.
I am happy that Kardashian is going to donate her wedding money and gifts to the Dream Foundation. I think this proves that she’s not as selfish as she is portrayed by the media.
I must admit, I am a fan of watching” Keeping Up With The Kardashians” on E!. When I heard that they were getting a divorce, I was not very surprised. They actually met pretty recently and had a lot of arguments. I remember one episode when the family were going to Bora Bora, Humphries came along and commented on the eldest Kardashian’s relationship status with her baby’s father, Scott Disck. He said something like, ‘you guys act like an old married couple, show some PDA (public display of affection).’ Okay I am not sure if those were the exact words, but how rude to say. It just makes it look like Humphries believe that a relationship is based on PDA. I am not very sure if Kim and Kris were ready to tie-the-knot.
Also, I guess some viewers were annoyed about Kim’s” bridezilla” attitude and pickiness on the show. I was actually annoyed too, especially with that earring situation at Bora Bora. Let’s be honest now, all females can be demanding and be in a bad mood if they don’t get what they want. I’m sure we all done that before.
I apologize if it looks like I favor Kim than Kris. After watching the reality show, I really think Kris is really rude and mean. Just because I think that doesn’t mean I wish him the worst. I can never wish for that, I don’t have the heart to. I wish them both the best and better luck in their future.

Journ Assignment Blog

I have this journalism assignment where I have to talk about my blog....

Strongest Post: Alfred Angelo's Dresss

Weakest Post: Tiffany Wedding Part 2

  • In the Alfred Angelo's post I tried to be clever, so I think that seems to be working very well.
  • On my last blog post I wrote less.
  • In the next 6 weeks I would like to have a nicer vocabulary instead of using simple words.
  • In order to do that, I have to actually think about what I am saying and I should go to thesaurus.com .

Tiffany & Co. Theme Part 2

Part 2 of this Tiffany & Co. Wedding theme !

This ring-bearer looks like the blue Tiffany box. I guess you guys get it now (if you read part 1), basically try to get everything to look like the blue box haha.
Just my idea of how the bridesmaids and groomsmen should dress like. :)

Just examples of what cake would look good with the Tiffany theme whether if you prefer the cake to look like the little blue box or a tradition white cake with that Tiffany flair. :)
I don't know about you, but I think these flowers look breathtaking ! :D
The plate setting. I love that blue plate :) Instead of gold, I think it should be silver, just my opinion haha.

Okay I hope you guys enjoyed these ideas ! Next week I'll consider doing a Tangled theme wedding without it looking tacky. I love the movie and I just have these ideas that I would like to share. It all depends on how much time I have because my teachers are giving me so much work now-a-days D:

Tiffany & Co. Theme Part 1

A wedding event should be elegant and classy. Inspired by Breakfast At Tiffany's starring Audrey Hepburn, I have personally always wanted a Tiffany & Co. wedding of my own. The theme has been done before and it looks very stunning. I actually planned my future Tiffany wedding years ago. Luckily, I am willing to share my black book of secrets, or shall I say white book of wedding secrets. Hehe x) Oh! I will mainly talk about the reception ideas on this post.

Invitations:

Here are a few idea invitations I had in mind. Of course we would need the signature Tiffany blue and white on these wedding invitations. Tiffany's are known to have the little blue box. In the last 2 pictures, the little blue box and the white ribbon/bow are incorporated in the invitations.

Centerpieces:

I like big centerpieces; Bigger is better. Some people may not like big center pieces, but I do because it really attracts people and it's not boring. My favorite flowers are red roses. The theme colors are Tiffany blue, white, and black. The colors are pretty classic, but so are red roses. I would also have the green leaves dyed to black. In the second picture, there are blue/white rose balls. Sorry this is the best picture that I can find of blue and white roses. I might consider using that instead of red roses. It all depends. For the third picture, I really liked the vase, so that's why that picture is on here. :)

Goodies:

At each table, everyone can have a little blue box of their own. Inside the blue box, it can have Tiffany style cake balls. Also at each table next to the little blue box, there can be a Tiffany cupcake. When I was a kid, I went to a wedding at the bride and groom personally gave all the kids wedding Beanie Babies. That made me so happy, so I told myself that when I have my own wedding I will do the same thing. I want to give each kid a Beanie Baby and hope it'll make them happy just like it made me happy. :D

Gift Table:

This is a card box. It's cute and it goes with the theme really well since it is a little blue box.

Lighting Decoration:
In the reception, I wouldn't want the room to be too dim, but I would love the little lights. The blue light doesn't have to be everywhere. but it can be in particular places such as the picture above. Also the light on the floor looks beautiful and it's probably something that brides to be want at their wedding. :D

Chairs:

A simple blue chair cover tied up with a white ribbon will do, so it'll look like the little blue box. :)

Part 2 will be up next week :)
